What are Prevention Services? A variety of programs that provide drug prevention education and information.
   
Who can get services at Prevention Services? Adolescents and young people ages 12 to 25
   
Who provides service at Prevention Services? Trained substance abuse prevention counselors
   
How are counselors trained? Trained to use evidence-based programs such as, Reconnecting Youth, Project ALERT, and Project Toward No Drug Abuse.
   
What issues are addressed in the programs for young people?
  • Peer and media pressure
  • Personal control
  • Decision-making
  • Problem solving
  • Drug and alcohol use and its consequences
  • Positive alternatives to drug and alcohol use.

When are services available?

Walk-in Hours:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 

   
Is there a program in the summer? Youth Enrichment Series (YES) summer camp. The eight-week camp is designed to provide 12 to 15 year olds the opportunity to learn social skills and engage in positive alternative activities to drug and alcohol use.
